It's time...to fill the freezer!

This weekend was time for another freezer cook with Abby.  We decided to do as many meals as possible seeing as how the holidays are soon approaching and we knew we wouldn't be cooking together for quite some time.  So we dug in and got to work!  As far as planning for the big day goes, we got a ton smarter this time and took advantage of Google Docs.  It took us this many months to figure out we could both have the document up and be working on it at the same time?  Let me just say that cut down on the time it took to plug in our meals and ingredients that we would need at the grocery store!

I was very very excited this time because the week before our big day our local market, Dots, had their chicken on sale.  This chicken is so yummy!  So I stocked up on the chicken the week before, which also meant we cut and portioned the meat into bags early.  That definitely saved on some preparation time!  I also cooked up all of the other meat in crockpots the night before our big day.  That also saved on time. Its the little things that count when you are cooking tons of meals in one day!

So how did our day go?  It went great!  I mean, for almost half of the time we had 4 kiddos under feet as we were cooking (it was amazing how much we got done in the hour our husbands took the kids out for a little drive!).   It took approximately 11 hours (including clean up) and was totally worth it.

WHAT DID WE COOK?  I know you are very curious right?  Welp, here's the line up!!

Spaghetti Sauce

Vegged out Sloppy Joes - I have to post this recipe some time. It is fantastic!

Parmesan Chicken Bake

Chicken Tortilla Soup - Can you ever go wrong with a Pioneer Woman recipe?

Italian Sausage Spinach Tortelli Soup - yea so we added the sausage part.

Shepherd's Pie - I cannot say enough about this one.  Rachel Ray GOT IT RIGHT.  It has a yummy gravy that adds tons of flavor.  We do mashed potatoes on top instead of tater tots like she suggests.

Crockpot Chicken Marsala

Johnny Marzetti

Honey Lime Chicken - another recipe I need to post.  It looks delicious. Cannot wait to eat this one!

Soyaki Chicken - Soyaki mix from Trader joes, stir fry veggies, and chicken.  Easy Peasy.

Chicken Broccolo Casserole - thank you OnceAMonthMom

Angel Chicken -  my personal favorite

Crock Pot Chicken Taco Chili

Creamy Chicken Pot Pie

I think you'll be able to guess who was taking all of the pictures because there is not ONE picture of her!!!
