13 months and what its all about...

Well hello there. Yes it's been awhile since our last post.  Mostly because to be honest there really isn't much to share in the adoption world.  The wait continues and everything is slow.  Passing our 13 month DTE date wasn't really very exciting.  Also, the wonderful fun of beginning to update all of our adoption paper work has begun. This week we have appointments to update our fingerprints.  Then in a few months we'll begin updating our i171H paperwork (the paper from the government giving us permission to adopt), which means more paper work.  Let me tell you what folks.  There is one thing this adoption has done for us.  It has allowed us to a). cling to the feet of Jesus and b). learn much more about sweet communion with our Lord in prayer.  I now treasure the prayer times we have together as we pour out our hearts to our Father.  Is this what we expected?  nope.  Is it definitely teaching us a lot about our relationship with each other and our Savior?  yep.  Will you please join us in prayer?  Pray that more of the orphans paper work would clear with no problems. Pray for political strife in Ethiopia and that Satan would not use this to keep orphans from having a forever family.  Pray for the staff at AWAA as they work endlessly to help bring kids home.  Pray that we would be strong in the wait.  We received the sweetest most perfectly  timed card from a relative this week reminding us that God will bring our family together in his timing.  It meant the world to us.  To end I thought I'd  post a video about what its really all about. This passion we have for adoption is strong and it makes things like this video happen.  I cannot even begin to explain how thankful I am that God adopting me into his family and I thank him for allowing orphans of this world to find a forever family here AND with Him.
