Fireworks!

I thought the title was very fitting considering that one of my FAVORITE holidays is this weekend! I have always loved Independence Day and I LOVE fireworks! I just think its simply amazing to watch the colors and be amazed. I'm not sure my daughter will quite love them this year, but I"m sure she'll learn to some day:) This year we'll be traveling to Hershey for the festivities including my sis-in-law Ali's, high school graduation party! We are looking forward to our family trip and are praying for safe travels.

I also thought the fireworks title was appropriate because I happened to talk to the fire marshal on the phone yesterday. As part of our home study we have to have a fire inspection of our home. He informed us of the "special" tagged and inspected fire extinguisher we'll need to purchase as well as the fact that we'll need a fire detector in every bedroom. I am ALL ABOUT safety but in our tiny house if 4 fire detectors all go off at once we might not be able to hear anymore! So alas, he is coming on July 13th to do our fire inspection and we are hoping all goes well. I got one more form signed and dated today, WAHOO! Amaya's doctor signed her physical form. It feels so good when one more adoption paper is complete. Josh and I have our physicals this coming Thursday.

And last but not least our GARAGE SALE is NEXT WEEK!!! This is our first fundraiser for the adoption. We are gearing up for three days of garage sale fun. We are so blessed by the people that have donated items for the garage sale and by 2 amazing best friends that have offered to help. It is truly amazing. It also looks like my mom and grandma will also be able to come down to help, which is another huge blessing.

I am constantly thanking God for his provisions. Part of my heart belongs in Ethiopia now. I cannot even begin to explain the longing. I told Josh last week that I am anxious for the process. What if something really difficult or crazy happens? He turned to me and said, "Tami, nothing crazy will happen. You know why? (long pause) Because no matter what happens, to God, none of it is crazy. Its all just as he planned it." He was exactly right.

I've got a dresser that I'm going to bring over, as well as some small things.

Can I also make some cookies to sell?

Allison :)

Sure that would be Super!! We didn't really ask people to make cookies, because we've been so busy, but I'm sure they would sell if we had them:)
