How's it going?

Many encouraging people have asked Josh and I how the adoption is going. The truth is that some days are really good and some days go by very slowly as we wait. We love the encouraging words from people throughout our days that makes us know God has everything right in His hands and we thank YOU for that! Nothing new is really going on, however we did receive news this week that the wait times for an infant boy are now increased to 5-8 months (that is the average as of right now). Things are just going extremely slow with court dates and Embassy dates. Once again we reminded ourselves that God's timing is perfect and we will wait as long as needed to bring our son home.

We were also blown away this week by 2 large donations towards the funds for our adoption! Wow! God is providing is so many ways and it is so awesome to see. Thank you GOD!!

In other news, we were able to have a small belated birthday party for A this week. I hate to say it, but when you have a kid that has a birthday 4 days after Christmas the party somehow gets pushed back. However, its was such a fun party. My parents were able to come down and visit and our best friends came over and we were all about Dora!

Hi! I just found your blog and see you are from Ohio. My husband and I live in Eaton, a little town about 30 min. west of Dayton. If you guys are anywhere near the Dayton area, it would be fun to meet a fellow adopting family! We've been DTE since Dec. 10th. Feel free to email me at davecarriel@hotmail.com, or find me on facebook (Carrie Bower Lahman).
Blessings as you patiently wait!
