One year!!

One year ago today, Josh and I sat down and filled out an application to adopt through AWAA. It was such a wonderful Mother's Day weekend as we followed God's leading in our lives to build our family through adoption. A lot sure has happened in that year! Our little girls is now almost 2 1/2 year old and is full of energy, and we have been DTE (Dossier to Ethiopia) for 6 months waiting for a referral for our little boy. Last Mother's Day I remember wondering what I would be doing on Mother's Day 2011. I wondered if we'd know our little boy yet or have seen his face. So far we're still waiting, but that's ok because we know it's in God's hands. We are so very thankful for all of God's blessings over the past year!

Mother's Day 2011 is being spent with our Hershey Family and its been such a wonderful weekend celebrating with family! Josh's sister, Ali, picked out such great material for our son's first blanket AND Amaya received her new big girl quilt (Aunt Amber helped pick out this material). I feel so privileged and thankful to have such a talented and wonderful mom-in-law that gives of her time to make her grandchildren these beautiful quilts! We love you!! Both quilts are made by BSueSews.
