Happy Independence Day!! Today marks our 8 month DTE (Dossier to Ethiopia) anniversary! 8 months of waiting to see our little guy's precious face. To be completely honest, we have been getting a tad (ok sometime A LOT) impatient. It is tough when it seems like things are moving so very slow and we wonder what the future holds. However, we continue to pray for an extra big dose of patience and remember to be thankful for the here and now and what God is teaching us in these moments. We are also praying for our friends the Seevers who will be traveling to meet their two children and have their court date in July!! There are also several other AWAA families that we have met that will be traveling as well. We are praying that they have safe travels, enjoy every second with their children, AND PASS COURT before the courts close for the rainy season in August/September!!

Speaking of the here and now, our little girl FINALLY had her first hair cut after 2 1/2 years. This was the very first activity that took place when we went to visit Nana and PapPap and the rest of the family in PA. I think this girl is going to LOVE being pampered for sure. She sat up in that chair and didn't even move. Once she was done it was all smiles as her curly hair shined!! I cannot believe how fast our little girl is growing up.
